Privacy Policy
In short: the app does not collect, store on a server, or share any personal information. It has no ads, no accounts, no analytics and no tracking, and it works without an internet connection.
Who we are
Bears & Co: Cute Calculator ("the app") is a free calculator app developed by The Code Tourist, an independent developer. This policy explains how the app handles information. If you have any questions, you can contact us at thecodetourist@gmail.com.
Information the app collects
None. The app does not collect or transmit any personal data, device identifiers, location, contacts, photos, audio recordings or usage statistics. It does not contain advertising, analytics or tracking software, and it does not ask you to create an account.
Information stored on your device
The app saves your settings (chosen bear, keypad layout, sound set and volume) and the calculator's memory value locally on your device, so they are still there the next time you open the app. It also keeps the date it was first opened and how many different days it has been used, only to decide whether to show Google Play's "rate this app" window once. This information never leaves your device and is not accessible to us. It is deleted when you uninstall the app or clear the app's data.
The web version
If you use Bears & Co in your browser, your settings (bear, keypad, sound and volume) are kept only in your own browser's storage on your device. Your browser may also keep a copy of the app so it opens faster next time. Nothing you type or choose is sent anywhere: there is no account, no tracking and no analytics.
Clipboard and vibration
When you press and hold the calculator display, the app copies the displayed number to your device's clipboard and may give a short vibration. The app only writes to the clipboard when you ask it to, and it does not read what is on your clipboard.
Children's privacy
The app is suitable for children and adults. Because it collects no personal information from anyone, it collects none from children. It contains no advertising, no in-app purchases, no external links and no social or chat features.
Sharing of information
We do not sell, rent or share any information, because we do not collect any.
App stores
The app is distributed through app stores such as Google Play. When you download or use the app, the store provider may collect information about you (for example, for crash reporting or download statistics) under its own privacy policy. Please see Google's Privacy Policy for details.
Your rights
Depending on where you live, data protection laws such as the EU General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) give you rights over your personal data. As the app processes no personal data, there is nothing for us to access, correct or delete. You can remove all locally stored settings at any time by uninstalling the app.
Changes to this policy
If the way the app handles information changes, we will update this page and change the effective date above.
